The Sierra State Parks Foundation is dedicated to providing operational
funds to maintain eight California State Parks in the Sierra District for the
public’s benefit. As Californiafaces an on-going budget crisis, so does the State Park system.
It's expensive to preserve historic sites, provide educational programs and maintain adequate staffing.
We depend upon our members, private donations, tour fees, merchandise
sales, special events, grants from a variety of sources, as well as corporate and foundation sponsorships. An online store is coming soon.
Until then we hope to see you in the park visitor centers where you'll find books, CDs and DVDs, clothing, toys, and other fun, educational, and useful merchandise.
Please join with us to support our efforts and share in the commitment
to provide visitors with worthwhile…
- Educational programs, from school outings and historic tours to nature hikes
- Interpretive experiences, from Junior Ranger programs to exciting exhibits and events
- Restoration, from artifact acquisition and maintenance to building repair and stabilization
- Preservation of cultural and natural resources for future generations
